It's time to give the cool boys their flowers

Goodmorning, champ

Today, let’s talk about the boy child. The cool boys. Like our title suggests, I'd like to give the boy child his flowers.

I know oftentimes it maybe hard or unrewarding as a boy/man in this hard enough world, and going most of your life “Thuggin it out”, we understand you fully.

I know oftentimes it maybe hard or unrewarding as a boy/man in this hard enough world, and going most of your life “Thuggin it out”, we understand you fully.

The pressure on you can be very real, societal expectations, toxic masculinity and the lack of opportunities for showing your emotions all contribute to this. And they can for sure cause several wahala.

Chill a bit, this is not a call to arms, we are not doing “bros before hoes”, but rather an opportunity to give inspiration and nurturing to the boys around you. Give us the space to be better boys and men for us and the society.

With yesterday's celebrations done and dusted, we would like you to ponder on this question: how can we build a more supportive environment for our boys?

I hope I've given you a little food for thought today, and hope to see you in greater health tomorrow.
